We recently held a Gallery Event. The Children each painted a canvas inspired by local artist Mackenzie Thorpe. Parents and families were invited to the Gallery, where they had the opportunity to view and buy the artwork, have refreshments and enter the raffle, all in aid of The British Heart Foundation.

We supported the NSPCC with a day of exciting number activities in aid of the maths inspired Number Day. Children were invited to come to school wearing an item of clothing with a number on it and we also asked for donations of cakes for an after school cake stall. In total we raised £288.00 for the NSPCC. Please see our Number Day Gallery for pictures from the day. Colourful Dreams School
We recently supported Colourful Dreams School in Malawi. One of our Sports Coaches spent a year in Malawi teaching Year 1 children and still works closely with the school. To try and make a difference for the children at Christmas we appealed for donations of small plastic toys, bouncy balls, note pads, pens/pencils, sweets, small teddies and 20p coins towards postage. Thank you to all our families for the incredible response. The items were packed up and sent off to the children. We were very honoured to have a visit from The Worshipful The Mayor of Darlington, Councillor Jan Taylor and the Chairman of The Royal British Legion. They joined us for a special Remembrance Day Assembly and they then spent time talking to the children and answering questions. Please see our Mayor’s Visit Gallery for pictures from their visit. Year 6 organised and hosted a fundraising coffee afternoon for parents and families in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. They appealed for donations of cakes and invited parent and families to come along for a ‘nibble and a natter’. Year 6 worked very hard during the afternoon, which was a huge success and raised £368.00. Thank you to everyone for the donations of wonderful cakes and for attending the event.
